[origin: EP0773048A1] The ski or snow board consists of a main lower body layer (3) extending along its whole length and equipped with a sole and lengthwise edges. It also comprises a core and a metal or textile reinforcing member. An upper body layer (6) extends for at least a part of the ski or snow board's length. The upper body layer is fixed rigidly to the lower one in the centre. Its front and/or rear ends are connected to the lower layer via an elastic intermediate layer (12) and matching corrugated surfaces on the two layers which form alternating projections and recesses (13,14). The length of the upper layer is between 0.2 and 0.9 of the overall length of the ski/snow board.
