Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0773084A2] The coupled chain links carry cutting elements. The inter-engaging, adjacent chain links (A, B) are coupled along edge faces, orthogonal to the common running plane, to a common set, transverse to the running plane. Pref., each chain link has a multilayer configuration with an inner core (K) and two side portions (5, 5'), with the latter identical. Each core portion has a downwards curved extension (1), starting at its front edge, and a downward and forward bent hook (2), starting at the link rear edge. The extension of the next link core is retained in a complementary recess (3). A front recess (4) with a link bolt (5) suspends the hook.
