[origin: EP0773154A1] The axle assembly device has a frame (2) which is fitted to the low-floor axle, with each end section (4,5) provided with wheel holding and centring devices (10) for the wheels fitted to the ends of the axle. The end sections of the frame enclose the ends of the low-floor axle in the form of a cage, each having a pivoted carrier arm (11) with a central wheel support (13).
