Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0773306A1] Ferritic stainless steel for making wire wool comprises 11-30 wt.% chromium, up to the following levels of other elements - 0.2% carbon, 2% silicon, 2% manganese, 1% nickel and 0.030% sulphur and also at least 0.0015% calcium and at least 0.0040% oxygen, the ratio of Ca to O being in the range 0.2-0.7. Also claimed are wire made by drawing the steel and wire wool made by shaving the wires.
