[origin: EP0773327A1] The cleaning method involves using water containing a cleaning medium and/or an emulsifier which is sprayed onto the road surface (20) via high energy jets, with subsequent removal of the soiled water via suction. The section of the road surface being cleaned is screened on all sides from the remainder of the road surface to prevent loss of the water sprayed onto the road and ensure its entire removal via the applied suction.
