[origin: EP0774222A1] The seat comprises a base (11) and a structure (60) consisting of a seat part (6') connected to a back part (6). The back part supports at least two adjacent lower and upper dorsal parts (3,4,5). The seat supports seat parts (17,18) which can slide independently of each other. The seat and dorsal parts are connected to the structure by fixings (13a,13b). These fixings allow translation from top to bottom of the dorsal parts independently of each other and translation from front to rear of the seat along the length of the structure. This enables the position of the dorsal and seat parts to be adjusted as a function of the morphology of the user. The fixings are constituted by first and second bolts which are joined coaxially head to toe. The full shank of the first bolt is screwed into the hollow shank of the second bolt. A helicoidal spring is wound round the second bolt and embedded in a block of vibration absorber material.
