Abstract (en)
The bed base has chest and leg-feet parts which can be raised to variable heights. It is constituted by a flexible assembly (3,4,14) which supports a mattress. The mattress, which extends the length of the bed, rests on the raisable parts (8,15,21,24) which hold the flexible assembly to the desired height with a continuous ergonomic profile. The flexible assembly is formed from two lateral flexible bands (3) between which extend rigid flexible laths engaged in ferrules (4) fixed from place to place on the bands. The bands rest on a rigid plinth (2). The raisable parts are constituted by profiled supports (8,15) whose upper surface is rounded. Pivoting arms (12,18) support under the lower face of these profiled supports and raise them above the plinth so that the flexible bands are applied on and fit their rounded profile.

Le sommier est constitué d'un ensemble souple (3, 4, 14) servant de support à un matelas, qui s'étend sur toute la longueur du sommier, et qui repose sur des supports profilés (8, 15) dont la face supérieure est ergonomique et arrondie. Les supports soulèvent ledit ensemble au-dessus du socle rigide (2) pour que les bandes flexibles (3) de l'ensemble souple s'appliquent sur ces supports profilés et épousent leur profil arrondi.
