[origin: EP0774280A1] The technique consists in first choosing a layer of pre-decorated plastics material (40). This layer is put on one of the ski surfaces (40a,40b) after cutting a window (41) in the layer. A piece of transparent or translucent material is placed on the side of the internal face (40b) of the layer, to entirely cover the window space. This transparent piece is fixed to the layer by cold plating, gluing or welding. The contour of the transparent piece slightly overlaps the window contour thus defining, when covered, a small width contact and sealing edge (81).
