[origin: EP0774300A1] The crusher has a pair of counter-rotating pulling-in and crushing rolls (2), bounding a roll gap for the passage of the container (3). Each roll has a grip tooth (5) on its circumferential surface to grip an end piece (3a) of the container fed in from an input (8). The batten (6) with the grip tooth on it may be made in one with the grip tooth, and may be formed from several sectors in the axial direction of the roll. These sector may be parallel and or collinear relative to the axial direction.
