[origin: EP0774537A1] A process is for sectional warping of yarns on a sectional warping drum of a sectional warper. In a start phase, a theoretically correct feed speed is set as an initial value for at least the first rotation of the sectional warping drum. The determining takes place in accordance with warp parameters. In a subsequent phase, the application thickness of the first sectional warping band is measured. The feed speed is regulated from the second rotation of the drum at the earliest. In a work phase, a constant feed speed is set for the rest of the process after the stabilisation of the regulated feed speed signal.
