Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0774620A1] The burner consists of a primary air duct (16) with a fuel injector (20) and multiple orifices to form divergent and independent flames. The burner also comprises a flame stabiliser (22). Several secondary air feed ducts are situated round the fuel injector and primary air duct. The burner incorporates a ring (24) of a refractory material which surrounds the forward end of the primary air duct (16) and has a front face cavity (25) with a flat base. The primary air duct emerges in the base of the said cavity. The secondary air ducts are in the form of passages (28) through the ring, emerging from the edge of the ring surrounding the cavity. The flame stabiliser has inclined vanes (23) which cause the air to rotate as it leaves the primary air duct.
