[origin: EP0775443A2] Use of a lupin extract in the treatment of fruit-bearing plants during growth, to change the composition of the fruit. The extract is preferably aqueous and contains alkaloids, and the fruit are treated at least twice during growth. The plants are sprayed with the extract (which contains 0.6-1.8 wt.% of dry active ingredient), once within eight weeks of flowering and a second time 2-5 weeks before harvest. Differing concentrations may be used for each spraying.
