Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0775798A1] The rotating drive for a shutter roller comprises an electric motor (2) with a stator and rotor (2a). A brake (10) prevents rotation of the roller relative to a fixed casing (1) when the motor is inactive. The brake comprises a part (11,14) fixed to rotate with the rotor which engages locking parts (19,19') carried by a flange (18). The motor and the brake are mounted inside the casing. A crown wheel (29) is fixed to the casing and a sleeve (25) engages with the flange and the crown wheel to form planetary gearing. The sleeve is rotationally locked relative to the crown wheel by a brake spring (30). A drum (22) connected to a manual control (20) is coaxial with the flange, the sleeve and the crown wheel.
