[origin: DE19543350C1] The support aggregate is for auxiliary equipment such as pumps and compressors. It is formed by the control housing cover (1) and stiffened by a support structure (7) which has attachment areas (11-15) and connecting ribs (21) and crossbars (22). A free space (23) is formed on an inner side (19) of the cover for a control chain, and extends in the direction of a vertical axis (16) of the IC engine. The attachment areas (11,12,13,15) are provided in two edge zones (17,18) on an outer side (4) of the cover.
