Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0775884A2] The heat exchanger has parallel pipes (11), whose cross section is in the shape of a rectangle or a flat oval, and which have long (14) and narrow (15) sides. The pipes extend between first and second collection tanks, and have corrugated ribs (21). The ends (16) of each pipe are widened in a direction which is normal to the long sides, so that at least one first side of each end forms a long connecting surface (17) on which an adjacent pipe end can be laid, and to which the latter can be connected. At least one second side of each pipe end forms a short connecting surface on which the tank can be laid, and to which the latter can be connected.
