[origin: EP0776069A1] The connector (10) has a connector housing (14), a standard connector (12) projecting from the housing front end with a plastics carrier block for an electrical contact part and a multi-wire lead cable (24), fitting into the connector housing at the rear. The housing is divided into a termination section (20) fitted to the end of the lead cable and an interchangeable housing sleeve (18) secured to the termination section and slid over the rear end of the standard connector.
