[origin: EP0776621A1] The chair has a membrane fitted between the profile rails and a seating and leaning surface. The rails have a groove over their complete length. The membrane (3) is held in the groove Traverses (2,14) made of pressure cast aluminium connect the profile rails (1) in the area of the back rest and the seat. The stand frame (13) comprises two extruded aluminium profiles, which incorporate a floor stand part, from the front end of which the front dome of the frame extends in arc formation over the area of the seat front edge to the area of the back traverse (2). The back traverse is connected with the profile rails and the profiles of the stand frame in the area of the back rest by a multi-functional node. The profile rails have a further through groove for accommodation of a fixture for a chair cushion.
