[origin: EP0776849A1] An apparatus for winding, doubling and texturising machines comprises a thread guide which moves linearly. A planetary gear train (13, 15; 23, 22), having a three-fold translation, converts the rotary motion of a drive shaft (11) into a linear motion for the thread guide (20). The planetary gear train has, revolving in a toothed ring (15), a first planetary gearwheel (13) where on its rotating axle is mounted a first rotatable arm (17) on the outer end of which a second rotating arm (18) is driven.
