Abstract (en)
A process for wet spinning sclerenchyma, especially flax, fibres aligned in the spinning direction entails drawing and spinning while using a cleaned assembly of separate elementary fibres. Preferably an assembly in the form of a roving is produced by dry-spinning a sliver from separated elementary fibres aligned in the sliver drafting direction. It can also contain, in addition to the sclerenchyma elementary fibres, fibres from another material which correspond in length. e.g. a polyvinyl alcohol which is in proportion by weight from 8 to 12, preferably 10%, of the total composite.

Sklerenchym-Fasern, insbesondere Flachsfasern, die in einem gereinigten Verbund aus Elementarfasern vorliegen, die im wesentlichen in Erstreckungsrichtung des Verbundes ausgerichtet sind, werden durch Naßspinnen zu einem Faden hoher Festigkeit und geringen Fadengewichtes verarbeitet.
