A machine for the production of a continuous web, especially of paper or cardboard, has rollers around which the web is led. A spoiling body (21) is placed at the web (7) edge and at a distance from an open web path (9, 11) for the prevention of turbulence. The body extends over region(s) both with and across the direction of web transport.

Es wird eine Maschine zur Herstellung einer kontinuierlichen Bahn, insbesondere Papier- oder Kartonbahn vorgeschlagen, die eine Anzahl von Walzen aufweist, um die die Bahn herumgeführt wird. Die Maschine ist gekennzeichnet durch einen im Bereich des Randes der Bahn (7) angeordneten Störkörper (21), der zur Vermeidung von Turbulenzen in einem Abstand zu einem freien Zug (9;11) der Bahn (7) angeordnet ist und sich zumindest über einen Bereich des freien Zuges -in Transportrichtung der Bahn (7) und/oder quer dazu- erstreckt. <IMAGE>
