[origin: EP0777013A2] A machine for the production of a continuous web, especially of paper or cardboard, has rollers around which the web is led. A spoiling body (21) is placed at the web (7) edge and at a distance from an open web path (9, 11) for the prevention of turbulence. The body extends over region(s) both with and across the direction of web transport.
