Abstract (en)

The housing arrangement has a separate chamber (12) for housing the protective element, which is in the form of a positive temp. coefficient resistance (PTC). The chamber has an opening on the outer surface of the housing. The opening has a closure element. The closure element is formed by a carrier on which the housing arrangement is mounted. Alternatively, the closure element can have a hinged connection to the side wall of the housing arrangement.
