[origin: EP0777983A2] A heatable basic body (28) has a duct (29) exposed to the hot-melt adhesive. At least one finger (14) with at least one adhesive-duct discharges the adhesive onto the surface being coated. The finger is set vibrating by a drive mechanism (34). the finger is divided into a number of small plates (36a,b,c) each possessing a duct for adhesive. The plates are separately spring mounted in a direction coinciding with the discharge direction of the adhesive. A rotor (60,61) rotates the finger on a rotational axis parallel with the discharge direction of the adhesive. The adhesive applicator head (13) has a pivot link (68).
