Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0778110A2] The performance influencing process is applied to a fluid-operated hammer mechanism with a hammer piston making working and return strokes initiated by a control. During the working stroke, a release signal is created at a certain point in time (T1) for switching to the return stroke after a constant time lag ( DELTA t1). The process includes a second time lag ( DELTA t2), so that during the first time lag, the hammer piston first makes a return stroke dependent on the degree of reflection of the material and completes the return stroke after switching of the control to the return stroke position. By the end of the second time lag, the control is switched to working stroke position regardless of the position of the hammer piston.
