A linkable crate (1) according to the invention comprises a base (3) and side walls (4-7). A first side wall (4) provided with one or more linking elements (13) for linking the crate (1) to another crate (2) comprises a wall part (12), which is offset towards the inside of the crate, and the linking element (13) does not extend beyond the plane defined by the corners of the first side wall (4).
