[origin: EP0778372A1] The slide chair (28) is for railway points. It has a continuous passage (68) extending in longitudinal direction of the rails. The spring element (80) extends through the passage. The counter bearings (74,76) are located within the areas of the passage openings (70,72) in the sides of the slide chair. The spring element is bar-shaped and eccentric. When tensioned it supports itself on the base (82) of the passage and on the counter bearings. Each counter bearing is an element projecting from the bed plate (10), with an aperture (78,80) which is aligned with openings of the passage.
