[origin: EP0778373A1] The sleeper arrangement (10,12) has a hollow sleeper (14) with parts of a point lock (22) located in it. The hollow sleeper is connected to its neighbouring sleepers via brackets (22,24), extending in longitudinal direction of the rail (16). The bracket rigidity is dimensioned so that a rail support (44,46) extending from it, has a deflection corresponding to that of supports (18,20) extending from conventional sleepers. When a vehicle passes over the rails, the supports of the brackets are subjected to a track subsidence which corresponds to that of the conventional sleeper supports.
