[origin: EP0779236A1] The mobile crane (1) has a telescopic jib whose end bay (4) pivots on its upper body (3), and which can be elevated by a cylinder (10) which is hinged to the latter and to the jib. A tensioning support (14) can be erected at the rear of the jib by a hydraulic cylinder (15), which is hinged to an upper region of the end bay. The support is tensioned relative to the upper body, the foot point or hinge (5) of the pivoting bay, or the lower region of the latter, by a cable (17) or linkage of fixed length. A winch (16) is arranged in the region of the tip of the support, in order to tension a cable to the head of the inner telescopic bay (9), or to a collar on an upper telescopic bay.
