[origin: EP0779240A1] The opener has a rectangular block shape formed from plastics, and is the size of a match box. A cylindrical tool (13) with a inner four-sided formation (14) is firmly, pivotably or exchangeably fixed to one of its smaller sides. The rectangular body (10) constituting the opener has a mouth opening (11) in which is fitted a blade (12) of a customary capsule lifter. It is possible to fix the cylindrical part pivotably on the rectangular body, so that it can be pivoted in a position altered through 90 degrees , even when the inner four-sided formation is not inserted. It is also possible for the cylindrical steel part to be fixed exchangeably and not pivotably to the rectangular body.
