Abstract (en)
The launcher (1) contains a propulsion unit (8), e.g. pyrotechnic or magnetic, for the projectile (6) and a line (7) which is connected to the projectile and unwinds from a reel (9) during its flight. A locking mechanism (10) is able to stop the line when the projectile has travelled for a given distance, halting its flight. The locking mechanism consists of two elements (13), one of which is movable, which squeeze the line between them to stop it once the projectile has travelled for a set distance, measured by a telemeter with a sensor which detects markings, e.g. optical or magnetic, spaced at intervals on the line.

Dispositif de lancement (1) d'un projectile (6) non létal, comprennant un moyen de propulsion (8) du projectile (6), un moyen de liaison (5) déroulable depuis le lanceur (1) et relié au projectile (6), un moyen de blocage (10) du déroulement du moyen de liaison (5) pour arrêter la course du projectile (6), et des moyens (20) pour calculer la distance parcourue par le projectile (6) et pour commander le moyen de blocage (10) lorsque le projectile (6) a parcouru une distance prédéterminée, dispositif caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend au moins une bobine électrique (42, 45) qui permet de commander le moyen de blocage (10) du déroulement du moyen de liaison et/ou l'activation d'un générateur de pression qui constitue le moyen de propulsion (8). <IMAGE>
