Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0780227A1] The blanket (1) joins at the inside (16) onto a rigid supporting plate (2), whose rubber-free edges (4,6) are bent over at the ends so as to fit in a slot (9) in the blanket cylinder (11). The ends (7,8) of the blanket itself engage positively and detachably with each other. They can be reduced in thickness so as to form overlapping portions (12,13) engaging with each other, typically forming top and bottom hooked lips. Alternatively, top and bottom press-buttons can be used, or there can be a bottom trapezium-section groove in which a top spring bar engages. A further alternative is a hook-clasp fastener between the ends.
