Abstract (en)
To give a selective separation of dirt and impurities from a flow of fibres in an air stream, a mesh drum rotates constantly in the flow path after a detection system for foreign matter. The material is deposited on the drum and, through the drum rotation, the fibres are moved to a drum zone where sectors to spin matter off are parallel to the axis. The fibres are spun off at zones controlled by the detection system only where foreign material is detected. The dirt or other impurities are detached from the drum by a blowing or suction action.

Verfahren zum selektiven Ausschleusen von Fremdteilen aus einem Fasertransportluftstrom (2) durch eine Siebtrommel (8). Die Fasern lagern sich auf einer rotierenden Siebtrommel ab. Ein stationärer Teilbereich (11) der Siebtrommel wird nicht von der Transportluft durchströmt. In diesem Bereich sind Vorrichtungen (13) die, in einzelnen Sektoren über die Breite der Trommel, die Fremdteile von der Siebtrommel abfördern. <IMAGE>
