Abstract (en)
A spray apparatus 12 for spraying a high build coating, such as plaster or stucco, onto a substrate comprises a conveyance device 28 and a nozzle 26. The conveyance device has an inner 62 and an outer 60 enclosure, with an air manifold 64 formed therebetween. The inner enclosure has a material inlet 34 and a material outlet 16, and the manifold has an air inlet 38. Bores 74 are provided to allow fluid communication between the inner enclosure 62 and the manifold 64. The nozzle has a liquid inlet 30. In use, compressed air is supplied to the manifold 64, and passes through the bores 74, thus generating a reduced pressure. This reduced pressure draws material up from a bin 20 through the material inlet 34, and the material passes out through the material outlet 16 and the nozzle 26, where it is mixed with liquid and sprayed out onto a substrate S. <IMAGE>
