[origin: EP0780625A1] The motor vehicle head lamp (1) has a beam corrective optical element (5) which can be displaced in front of the lamp bulb (4). The corrective element is mounted on a carrier (7) that can be displaced parallel to the optical axis of the lamp (O-O). The mobile part (202) of the element carrier is attached to an arm (7) transverse to the optical axis of the lamp. The fixed part of the carrier (203) is placed outside the shell of the head lamp, with the arm passing through a slot in the shell of the head lamp. The slot is straight and is parallel to the optical axis of the lamp.
