Abstract (en)
The switch has a switch chamber (10) filled with an insulation gas, containing a fixed contact element (12) and a cooperating movable contact element (14) operated via a switching drive (20). The coupling rod (16) between the drive and the movable contact element fits through a coaxial braking cylinder (26) with a length which is less than the switch disconnection stroke, a sliding braking piston (36) fitted to the outside of the coupling rod. The braking piston divides the cylinder space (34) within the braking cylinder into two chambers (38,40), in which a reduced and increased pressure are obtained respectively during the movement of the braking piston.

Am beweglichen Kontaktelement des Druckgasschalters ist eine Verbindungsstange (16) befestigt, die koaxial den fest angeordneten Bremszylinder (26) durchgreift. Der Bremszylinder (26) weist beiderends Querwände (30,32) auf. Im dadurch geschlossenen Zylinderraum (34) ist der Bremskolben (36) angeordnet, der auf der Verbindungsstange (16) längsverschieblich gelagert ist. Die Verbindungsstange (16) weist einen Mitnehmeranschlag (46) auf, der in einem Endabschnitt des Ausschalthubs den Bremskolben (36) mitnimmt, wodurch sich im ersten Teilraum (38) ein Überdruck und im zweiten Teilraum (40) ein Unterdruck aufbaut. Dadurch wird sehr schnell eine grosse Bremskraft erzielt. <IMAGE>
