Abstract (en)
The electrical switch has a mechanical rotating mechanism. The outer has a fixed set of triangular notches (20) set into the body. The inner is made up of a shaft (16) with an inner half circular element (15) leaving an upper gap (25) in the shaft inner. The shaft has a ball bearing protrusion (22) pushed by a spring (23) into the notch. The shaft construction acts as a dead latch preventing the peak position (5) from being held.

Un commutateur électrique comprend un corps tournant propre à être entraîné en rotation autour d'un axe sous l'action d'un organe de commande, ainsi que des moyens d'immobilisation (22-24) portés par le corps tournant et coopérant avec un dispositif à crans (20), de configuration circulaire et porté par un support fixe (21), pour immobiliser le corps tournant en des positions prédéfinies. Les moyens d'immobilisation font partie d'un élément intermédiaire (16) solidaire en rotation du corps tournant avec un débattement angulaire limité définissant une course perdue, ce qui permet de découpler le corps tournant des moyens d'immobilisation en évitant ainsi un blocage éventuel des moyens d'immobilisation dans une position instable au sommet (S) d'un cran (20), du fait d'un frottement généré sur le corps tournant. <IMAGE>
