Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0780870A2] An electromagnetic relay including a base (1) forming a basic plane with its floor face (11) and has contact pins (15,16) secured in the carrier (13) for the fixed contact posts(14). A tilting or rocking armature (3) is arranged over the base (1) and has a coil (7) arranged above it the coil having one axis parallel to the basic plane and the other normal to the axis of rotation of the armature. A core (74) arranged axially in the coil (7) has a yoke (154,155) at either end, each yoke extending downwards normal to the basic plane, and with the ends of the yokes interacting with the armature (3). The first yoke (155) has a L-shaped obliquely angled bearing limb (156) which extends parallel to the coil (7) axis and forms a mounting point (158) under the centre of the coil for the armature (3).
