Abstract (en)
The lamp has a vacuum-tight bulb (1) which defines the longitudinal axis. The seal at each neck surrounds a foil (7) with inner and outer current lead-throughs (5,15). At the end of each seal(6) is a socket, joined to the corresponding outer lead-through. The socket is a shell (11) formed from the same material as the bulb, formed on the outer end of the seal. The contact (13) extends longitudinally and is fastened to the inside of the shell. The contact is like a disc. At least part of its edge is sealed in the shell. The edge varies in radius according to a specific pattern, being clover-leaf, elliptical, or triangular, etc in contour.
