Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0781892A2] The door has at least one sliding door panel (1) coupled to an operating drive (3) via an intermediate displacement rod (5). This is formed in two parts, with one element coupled to the displacement drive. Another setting element is operated by an auxiliary drive to allow movement of the sliding door panel into the open position, independent of the main operating drive. The auxiliary drive acts directly or indirectly between the first element of the displacement rod and the setting element which is movable relative to it e.g. via a telescopic mechanism.
