[origin: EP0781896A1] The turbine wheel has a disc wheel body (1) with a central bearing mounting opening (2) with concentric inlet openings (3) at the periphery on one disc side (3), and driving air channels (5) from the disc body each opening into an outlet (14). The outlet openings (14) are at the peripheral surface (7) of the wheel disc. The drive air channels have an axial inflow section (6) and an outflow section (8) in the wheel disc body towards the circumference surface.
