[origin: EP0782833A1] The curtain track has a number of running carriages (3,3'), supporting the upper edge of the curtain, which are freely movable along a horizontal rail (7), the carriage (3') supporting the curtain front edge driven by a flexible drive band (12), passed around pulleys at either end of the rail. One of these pulleys is rotated by an electric motor (9), via an intermediate drive (10), which is disengaged when a manual force is applied to the curtain and automatically re-engaged when the electric drive is operated.
