Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0783054A1] The mechanism is designed for a reversible and retractable signalling element(1) of the type which uses a casing buried in a roadway which contains the signalling element in a retracted position. The element(1) can be moved out of the casing(2) by motorised means. The casing(2) encloses an interior sleeve(3) whose dimensions are such that the space between the casing(2) and the sleeve(3) is used for the passage of cables(31), covers and other means used for operation of the motorised system. The inner sleeve(3) covers the signalling element(1) and the motor system which has a cartridge(4) enclosing a piston(5) on which is mounted the signalling element(1). The piston(5) is moved by the introduction of air from a pneumatic pipe(6).
