[origin: WO9706703A1] Fashionable leisure trousers may be provided in the most diverse ways with pockets, applications and the like. Fastening elements provided inside the trousers allow various protecting elements to be attached for protecting parts of the body exposed to shocks during the practice of various sports. It is particularly important to protect the area of the knees and hips, but other parts of the body may also be protected. The protecting elements are preferably attached to a lining that is suspended from the inner waistband of the leisure trousers. The protecting elements may be attached in a detachable manner to the inner lining, for example by means of Velcro strips.
