[origin: DE4434707A1] The invention concerns a tumbling mill (1) with an at least approximately cylindrical grinding vessel (2) and a feed vessel (3) with a loading/unloading port (4). In order to ensure that the mill is sufficiently well sealed for use with toxic and/or radioactive materials, the invention calls for both the loading/unloading port (4) and a number of ducts (5) connecting the interior of the feed vessel (5) with the grinding vessel (2) to be fitted with ball valves (6, 7).
