[origin: WO9609966A1] In order to decorate cooking vessels, the vessel is coated with silicone resin at least on the surface to be decorated, a carrier, to which a heat releasable decoration is applied, is provided, and the carrier is brought into contact with the coated surface of the vessel to be decorated, heat being supplied so as to transfer the decoration to the coated surface of the vessel. The carrier may be configured as a ribbon (30). The vessel (15) is fitted on a heated form (14), a drum (35), which is also heated, keeps the ribbon (30) in contact with the vessel (15), and the drum (35), the vessel (15), and the ribbon (30) are moved so as to transfer the decoration onto the vessel (15). Cooking vessels (15) can thus be decorated easily, cheaply, and permanently with any decoration.
