[origin: EP0783855A1] The foot assembly has an externally threaded spindle (14) mounted on the furniture side secured against rotation. An internally threaded sleeve (18) sits on the spindle and can be adjusted into predetermined different axial positions relative to same by an operating element by turning which sets the corresponding effective axial foot lengths. The operating element comprises an outer housing (20) enclosing the spindle and sleeve and rotatable relative to the spindle but fixable axially. The outer housing is connected rotationally secured to the sleeve.
