Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0785326A1] The door catch consists of a housing (2) containing a bolt with a chamfered head (7), a shank (8) and a flange (9) made in one piece, with a truncated-conical centering boss (10) for the spring (13) on the free side of the flange. The bolt can be made e.g. by moulding or pressure stamping. During assembly the bolt is fitted into the housing with the centering boss engaged with one end (15) of a spring (13) which is fixed in the housing by its other end (16). The housing has lateral guides for the spring, and an aperture (20) which allows the spring to be drawn back from the flange, e.g. by a finger inserted into the aperture, while the bolt is reversed.
