[origin: DE19536500A1] The bush contact has a lower spring (2) with a connecting part for an electrical conductor and a contact part with spring arms protruding from a base to make contact with a plug contact. A stamped flexible plate upper spring (3) enclosing the lower spring's contact part has a slot (22) in its top, inwardly bent cut-out tongues (27) in contact with the lower spring's spring arms, a latching hook bent out of one wall and a polarising element. The divided cover has connecting lugs (23,26) on one or both sides which bridge the slot towards the other cover side and which are attached to the other cover side by shape and/or force locking. The lug in one region of the slot can be formed on one wall part and that in the other slot region can be formed from the other wall part.
