Abstract (en)
A chest of drawers or cabinet has a top (2) with a raised rim (3, 4) for stacking a second identical piece of furniture on top of the first. The top can be made in one piece with the first chest or cabinet or detachable from it, moulded from a synthetic material e.g. polypropylene. The raised rim (3,4) slopes down from the back of the top to the front and its front section (4) is of lower height than the remainder. The inner face of the raised rim and the horizontal surface of the top are rubbed, and the top has holes in it to receive fixing screws.

L'invention consiste en ce que sa surface supérieure libre comporte une bordure périphérique continue (3, 4) en saillie à l'extérieur vers le haut par rapport audit caisson (1) et agencée pour coopérer à emboîtement avec la partie inférieure (9') d'un caisson (1') identique.
