Abstract (en)
The roller skate consists of an upper frame (2) fixed to the boot (1). It also comprises a lower frame (4) which has two or more rollers (5,6,7,8). The two frames are connected by a pivot (3) and have a spring (9) between them. The axis of the pivot between the two frames is situated at their forward end and is located within a square (A) with sides of 150 mm which contains the front roller. The forward edge of the square passes just in front of the front roller (5), which can be mounted on either the upper or lower frame. Where the skate has four rollers in line, the point of articulation between the upper and lower frames can be situated within the perimeter of the second roller and preferably in a vertical line with its axis.

Patin à roulettes en ligne comprenant un châssis supérieur (2) sur lequel est fixée une chaussure (1) et un châssis inférieur (4) portant au moins deux roulettes (5, 6, 7, 8). Le châssis supérieur (2) est articulé sur le châssis inférieur (4) dans la zone antérieure des châssis, à l'intérieur du périmètre d'un carré (A) de 150 mm de côté, reposant sur le sol, contenant la roulette avant (5) et dont le côté antérieur vertical passe juste en avant de cette roulette avant. Le châssis supérieur est en outre monté élastiquement sur le châssis inférieur. La suspension du patin est assurée sans préjudice de la stabilité et de l'aptitude du patin à être dirigé. <IMAGE>
